Where should you start?
Flux Forward Weekly Signal
Many internationals in the Netherlands are not inactive. They are applying, attending events, improving their CVs, trying to network, and staying active. But activity does not always create direction.
In many conversations, we keep seeing the same pattern. People are doing a lot, but they are not always sure whether their effort is leading somewhere. The question is not always “What else should I do?” Sometimes the better question is: “Where should I start?” or “What should I pay attention to?”
That is why we made the Flux Forward Activation Scan available.
The scan is a simple 5-minute starting point to help you understand where your transition may actually be getting stuck. It does not give you a final answer, and it does not replace a real conversation. But it can give you a first signal.
Sometimes the issue is translation. You have experience, but it is not landing clearly in the Dutch context. Sometimes it is visibility. The right people do not yet understand what you can contribute. Sometimes it is navigation. You are trying to move through a system that is hard to read. Sometimes it is stability, with housing, visa pressure, money, or uncertainty taking up too much mental space. And sometimes it is priority, because there are too many open loops and everything feels urgent.
Before doing more, it can help to see the layer first. Start with the Activation Scan:

What is now available
Over the past two weeks, we made several Flux Forward entry points available. These are not separate projects. They are different ways to help internationals, organizations, and ecosystem actors understand the activation gap more clearly.
The Flux Forward App is a place to continue after the scan, save your result, and reflect on your next move: https://app.fluxforward.world
The Flux Forward Hub is a growing navigation layer for understanding the Dutch international talent ecosystem: https://fluxforward.world/hub
The Recognized Sponsors page is a first-signal page for exploring organizations listed in the public IND recognized sponsor register. It is not a job promise or visa advice, but it can help you understand part of the landscape: https://fluxforward.world/hub/recognized-sponsors
The Actors page gives a curated overview of public-facing actors working around internationals, work, integration, entrepreneurship, and support in the Netherlands: https://fluxforward.world/hub/actors
The white paper offers a deeper look at the activation gap between international talent, organizations, and the Dutch ecosystem: https://fluxforward.world/whitepaper

Dutch phrase of the week
“Waar moet ik beginnen?”
This means: “Where should I start?”
Maybe this is one of the most useful questions in a transition. Not only “What should I do more of?” but “Where should I begin, and what layer am I actually dealing with?”
